Mission Statement
The Linfield Chamber Orchestra was formed in 1991 by the Linfield College Music Department and dedicated music lovers from the community. The ensemble showcases some of the finest professional musicians in the region performing side-by-side with Linfield College’s most talented students.
The LCO is committed to:
- presenting music thoughtfully and creatively to enrich and deepen the human experience
- encouraging a new generation of classical music listeners
- providing an interdisciplinary entity that maximizes various college and community resources
- sustaining current audiences
- increasing awareness of school-age children to avenues of artistic expression
- fostering strategies to provide musical opportunity to a diverse population
